Getting the best gradient

• The colour changes over length, not over time, so prints with a small cross-section shift colour faster and show more of the rainbow.
• Tall, thin models such as vases, spirals and towers show the most obvious transitions. Wide flat prints use more filament per layer and shift more slowly.
• Printing several small items in one batch will spread the gradient across them, giving each a slightly different shade.

Storage and handling

PLA absorbs moisture from the air, which causes stringing and brittle prints.
